Run Your Car On Water!  

We took on this bronco to prove , that with a little effort , any vehicle can become more efficient. We figured if we could do dramatically increase mileage on a old junky 4X4 truck anyone could.

Engine: 4.9L L6

Technical Ability Required- Medium Light Mechancal

• Replace O2 sensor
• K&N Air Filter
• Turbonator Vortex Device x2 for this application
• Spitfire spark plugs
• MSD 6 AL Ignition Module
• MSD Blaster Coil
• Flowmaster Muffler

Cost of Materials: $678.00

End Mileage 18Mpg Using synthetic motor oil

Operating cost comparison based on national average of 10,000 miles per year @ $2.75 a gallon

• $3437.50 per year @ 8 MPG
• $1426.25 per year @ 18 MPG

Based on our cost comparision we lowered the average operating cost's of this vehicle about $2000.00 with a cost of $678.00 . Looks like we're $1300.00 ahead and we arent done yet. We should be able to squeze 21 MPG from this vehicle.

Observations- This was an easy build . It's Like having a new truck with a noticeable improvement in power & smoothness of operation . The bigest gains came from installing the ignition system . It should be noted however that the truck has oversized mud tires on it, if we where to install a set of BF Goodrich Radials on the truck we would see another 10-15 FUEL ECONOMY .
