GETTING STARTED SAVING GAS The most important thing you can do to save gas is to ensure that you have a properly maintained vehicle utilizing your owners manual to establish a schedule. Inspect electrical components for wear deterioration and tracking Replace oxygen sensors and catalytic converters on older vehicles. Usually at 60,000 miles. Check alignment- You will know that your car is need of an wheel alignment if you notice your vehicle constantly wandering or pulling from one side . Check proper tire pressure or abnormal wear. Use a fuel injector cleaner additive once a month to ensure a clean fuel system . Wash your car. A clean car is a happy car and believe it or not actually get's slightly better mileage than a dirty one. |
